On November 18th, 1978 approximately 909 people of all ages and races were killed in Jonestown, Guyana. It is often debated whether to call this tragedy a mass suicide or a massacre. Many were given no choice but to lay down their lives and be injected with the fatal poison, whereas some drank the poison with little hesitation knowing what was to come. Jim Jones, the founder of The Peoples Temple, was also responsible for the Temples demise. Jim Jones took their right to live.
